Given the choice between a $7,000 weekly lifetime payment and a lump-sum amount he opted for the latter receiving $4,088,250 after taxes.
  • $2.338 million - LOTTO - Sebastian County - May 2023:
    In Sebastian County an anonymous woman won the inaugural jackpot of Arkansas's new lotto game claiming $2.338 million from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. She stated her choice of the game was entirely random.
  • $177 Million - Mega Millions - Little Rock:
    Mr. Cantu, a regular lottery participant bought the winning ticket in late March at All Stop Valero on 408 East 22nd Street in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He was working a construction assignment in Hazen at the time. Aged 71, Cantu along with his spouse Anita 67, visited the Little Rock lottery office on Monday to collect the reward. They opted for a one-time payment of $73 million.
  • $3 Million - Mega Millions - Sheridan:
    According to a news release, Burdess was sick Friday, so he asked Vandiver to buy him a ticket on her way home from work. When she got to the Corner Store at 307 N. Rock St., she wasn't sure if she was supposed to purchase Powerball or Mega Millions, so she bought one ticket for each game. The ticket was 1 number away from $548M jackpot.
  • $310,000 - Natural State Jackpot - Pine Bluff:
    Burdess, feeling unwell had partner Vandiver purchase a lottery ticket for him on her commute back from work. Visiting the Corner Store at 307 N. Rock St., Vandiver bought both Powerball and Mega Millions tickets since she was uncertain which one to choose. Remarkably the ticket came just one number shy of hitting the $548 million jackpot.
