Glenn Dale, MD, January 2024 – A routine stop at a local store turned into a life-changing event for a retired tech worker from Prince George’s County. The loyal Pick 3 player, inspired by an overheard conversation decided to switch games and try his luck with Powerball.
On the evening of December 30 he purchased a Powerball ticket from E&C Mid-Atlantic in Glenn Dale opting to add the Power Play multiplier for just an additional dollar.

The lucky winner discovered his fortune while checking his numbers at a retailer but waited to confirm the win at home. He regularly adds the Power Play to his tickets typically turning a $2 win into $6 or $8 but never expected it to multiply to $200,000. Overwhelmed with joy he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and enjoy a vacation with his wife.
