Massachusetts Lottery has announced the launch of a new instant scratch ticket “Lifetime Millions” offering an unprecedented top prize of $1 million a year for life.
A Grand Prize with Life-Changing Potential
The life-changing grand prize guarantees the winner a minimum of $1 million per year for 20 years with the potential for lifelong payouts. There is also a cash option of $15.4 million. Lifetime Millions offers an astonishing three opportunities to win the grand prize of $1 million a year for life.
Massachusetts Lottery Continues to Innovate
State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, Chair of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission highlighted that the new $50 ticket was developed in response to player requests for more chances to win big. “Our first $50 ticket quickly became the country’s bestseller. With Lifetime Millions we’re upping the ante offering the grand prize of a million dollars a year for life,” she said.
Bountiful Prizes and Exciting Gameplay
In addition to the grand prizes, Lifetime Millions also features four $2 million prizes and 12 $1 million prizes. All winning tickets are worth at least $100 and the game offers an overall prize payout of 82.0 percent, matching the highest payout of any instant game in the history of Massachusetts Lottery.
Mark William Bracken, Executive Director of the Mass Lottery, expressed his excitement about the new game. “We’re thrilled to offer our players their first-ever chance to instantly win a million dollars a year for life, along with a plethora of secondary prizes.”
Extra Winning Opportunities with Second Chance Drawings
Lifetime Millions doesn’t stop at instant prizes. The game includes 10 Second Chance Drawings giving players the chance to enter non-winning tickets for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $100 to $50,000. Each drawing will award numerous prizes including 12 $50,000 prizes, 8 $1,000 prizes, 62 $500 prizes, and 250 $100 prizes.

This isn’t the first time Massachusetts Lottery has offered a $50 ticket. The first, “Billion Dollar Extravaganza”, was launched in February 2023 and continues to be a popular choice among lottery players in the state.
