Tips and Strategies

While the lottery is essentially a game of chance there are a number of tips and strategies that can not only make playing more enjoyable, but more responsible too. Here are our favorites:

  • Analyze Past Draws: While draws are all random, recognizing trends can refine your number selection.
  • Timely Claims: If you win be sure to claim your prize within the specified timeframe so you don't miss out.
  • Lump Sum vs. Annuity: Understand both the benefits and drawbacks of choosing between a lump sum payout and an annuity.
  • Online Convenience: Take advantage of online ticket purchases where available for your chosen game.
  • Stay Informed: Stay updated on the latest NH Lottery news, promotions and game changes here at USA Lottery.
  • Unique Number Choices: Opt for unconventional number combinations expanding beyond common choices like birthdays.
  • Budget Sensibly: Begin by setting a lottery budget that suits your financial situation and stick to it ensuring your play remains enjoyable and well within your means.
  • Time Management: In addition to your budget manage your time wisely to ensure your lottery activities don't interfere with your daily routine.
  • Ticket Variety: Higher-priced tickets offer larger prizes while lower-priced ones provide ongoing excitement without overspending. Pick a price-point that suits your play style.
  • Game Exploration: Diversify your play by trying out various NH Lottery games.
  • Post-Jackpot Draws: Consider participating in subsequent draws immediately after a major jackpot win. They often start with higher jackpots due to increased ticket sales.
  • Second-Chance Draws: Join second-chance drawings for non-winning tickets to potentially transform losses into wins.
  • Odds Awareness: Familiarize yourself with the odds of winning for each NH Lottery game.
